In February 2004. I purchased 2 Jiger 197’s from Bob Gray in Wisconsin. The Jigers were a little rough, but not unexpected for 40 year old machines. Allot of the clutch parts were missing, there was only one engine which was frozen, and as expected there was only two good tires, neither of which were original. But to find two machines within a 12 hour drive was, at the time quite fortunate. Crossing the border was very confusing for Canada Customs. They didn't quite know how to classify these "antiques". In the end they were very fair and I got the Jiger’s home to my Dad’s farm. Both these units were stripped down and most of the drive system parts were too far gone. Parts were cleaned and stored and will provide a good parts source.
